Provisional terms

Clear expectations for online tuition.

Last updated: 10 August 2026. These provisional terms should be reviewed before accepting paid direct website bookings. A booking request is not acceptance of an ongoing tuition arrangement; suitability, availability, scope and payment are confirmed by Shria.

Free consultation and trial

The direct website offers one free 20-minute parent planning call that includes a short trial lesson. The 20 minutes covers both discussion and trial teaching and is not a full academic diagnostic. Cal.com may be used to request an appointment. A requested time is subject to the confirmation settings shown during booking.

Pricing and packages

Published online tuition is £28 per hour. Current packs are £125 for five hours (£25 per hour) and £220 for ten hours (£22 per hour). Medicine admissions pricing, package suitability, payment timing and any platform-specific offer are confirmed separately by Shria. Package hours have no cash value beyond the agreed service and must not be transferred without approval.

Cancellations and rescheduling

With at least 24 hours’ notice, a paid lesson may be rescheduled without charge, subject to availability, or its prepaid fee may be credited. With less than 24 hours’ notice, the full fee is normally payable. Genuine emergencies may be considered by Shria at her discretion. Free consultation slots cancelled late or missed may not be offered again immediately.

Tutor cancellation

If Shria cancels a paid lesson, the family may choose a rearranged lesson or a full credit or refund for that lesson. Reasonable notice will be given whenever possible.

Lateness and non-attendance

A lesson normally ends at its scheduled time if a student arrives late. If the student has not joined or contacted Shria within 15 minutes, the lesson is normally treated as a late cancellation and charged in full. If Shria is late, lost teaching time will be added or rearranged.

Online lessons and conduct

Families are responsible for a suitable device, internet connection and quiet learning environment. Participants must behave respectfully. Recording a lesson requires prior agreement. Shria may pause or end a session where safety, conduct or technical conditions make continuing inappropriate.

Academic integrity

Tuition and Medicine application coaching support legitimate learning and preparation. The service will not sit examinations, impersonate students, fabricate experiences, ghostwrite personal statements or complete assessed work for submission.

Results and suitability

No grade, examination result, school or university admission, UCAT score or other outcome is guaranteed. Progress depends on factors including attendance, practice, starting point and assessment conditions. References to universities describe Shria’s offers and experience; no school or university endorsement is implied.

Safeguarding

A parent or guardian should handle inquiries, bookings, payment and administration for a child. Appropriate adult oversight should be available for online lessons. Private arrangements will not be made solely with a child. Safeguarding concerns may be escalated or disclosed where reasonably necessary to protect a child or comply with law.

Privacy and third-party services

Personal information is handled as described in the privacy notice. Cal.com, WhatsApp, email, calendar and conferencing services operate under their own terms and availability. Pro Grade Tutors is not responsible for an external service outage but will take reasonable steps to rearrange where it prevents a session.
